LBC is located off of Pico Blvd in between La Brea and Redondo in Midtown Los Angeles. There isn't a sign out front, but you will know when you get there. Security guards sit outside the front, and near the parking lot designated specifically for LBC. It has plenty of parking on the streets too, depending when you go.
The lobby is standard, for the most part, with seating for anyone waiting and a sign in desk. The only part that isn't standard is the metal detector at the entryway. Sign in is quick and easy, even for first time patients, and the security guards are chill. (Don't give them any problems, and they won't give you any).
The bud room/hash bar is absolutely huge, with flowers and edibles along the right side, and the hash bar on the left. There is literally a bar with plenty of seating, and a row of glass pieces to choose from to medicate with. There is also a couple of couches where you can play a few PS3 games they have on the left hand side. There's even water provided from a cold, clean filter.
The staff at LBC should be taken with a grain of salt. The security guards can be a bit abrasive and maybe unwelcoming, but they're security guards. Their number one priority is the safety of the patients and establishment. If you don't give them any problems, they won't give you any problems, and asking how their day is going doesn't hurt either. Inside the budtenders and bartenders are friendly and knowledeable, but if it's a busy night make sure you speak up if you need help. Being soft spoken and quiet, in any bar, doesn't work.
The meds, including the wax and hash, at LBC are good. They aren't the best out there, but are good for the price. The ounce prices are very good, so anyone who buys in bulk may want to check them out. The dabs are a bit expensive for wax ($7), but decently priced for hash (around $5). However, the wax is of good quality on their higher shelf, and the dabs are decent sizes.
La Brea Collective is one of the bigger and better hash bars there is...period. The best part about LBC is that they will let you bring your own meds (tip the BT's if you do though). NO OTHER hash bar lets people do that, and most of them have a minimum donation to medicate there. The environment at LBC is definitely a unique experience, and they should be checked out if you're ever in the area.
