Starburst OG (Mystery Genetics)

Sativa Dominant Hybrid
Cool Calm Collective
Price: $60 per 1/8th

AROMA:  This OG strain is surprisingly sweet smelling, almost like candy, and I was told that it was named after the smell.  It smells a little like lemon Starburst, with a diesel and pine twist.  It has a very unique smell for being an OG, and definitely a sativa heavy hybrid.

TASTE:  The nugs were a little dry, so the flavor was a little bit lacking.  The sweet aroma definitely carries over into the flavor, but the pine disappears almost completely.  It has a nice taste to it, and even has the slight OG burn in the sinuses.  It isn't as apparent as their OG Kush, but it is still there.  I can't help but feel the dryness took away from the flavor, because it isn't as strong as I thought.

LOOK:  Light green nugs surrounded by darker shaded leaves, the light colored hairs are almost peach in color.  There is decent trich structure, but nothing like their OG Kush.  The trichs that are there are mostly cloudy, which is a good sign.  The nugs are large, but definitely not as dense as they look.  I wish the trichs had developed a bit further, but all in all it's an attractive strain.  It still shimmers at certain angles, but not as much as some of their other strains.

EFFECTS:  This is a well balanced hybrid, but definitely leans on the sativa side.  It puts an even pressure on the eyes, and is a rather head clearing high.  It had an interesting tingly/lightheaded sensation at the back of the head, and put me in an euphoric state.  The onset is gradual, so this strain seems to be good for stress relief and maybe anxiety.  The indica side put my body is a very relaxed state, so the high is very pleasant.  Great daytime strain, and even a midday strain due to the indica side.

This is another one of CCC's OG's at the top $60 shelf.  It isn't as good as their OG Kush, but it is still a good strain.  This was a free 1/8th that my friend got (and let me test and photo), so proof from two patients that they give top shelf strains of choice.  This is a more relaxed high than the OG Kush, so I see it definitely helping a lot of patients out.
