AROMA: There is a very pungent OG Kush scent to it, and a very stinky lemon diesel at that. It's pungent from the nug, and only gets stronger when you grind up some nugs. It smells almost like exactly like OG Kush though, and a very pungent one at that.
TASTE: Deep lemon diesel flavor that burns the sinuses, the flavor lingers on the tongue long after exhaling a hit. The strain smokes well so there is full flavor throughout the entire hit. The lung expansion is decent, and still cause a couple of cheat clearing coughs. There is also a bit of earthiness that lingers in the aftertaste.
LOOK: Light green nugs with, what seems like, foxtail nug structure. They aren't the most attractive nugs, but that's because the best looking part is hard to see. The trichomes have thick stalks, very bulbous caps, and are almost entirely opaque/amber. The manicure could have definitely been done better, as I took these pictures after pulling off a few stray leaves.
EFFECTS: This is a heavy hitting indica that puts one in a very, very relaxed state. It has a very clean feeling high that would be good for stress relief. The sudden onset of the high may not be good for anxiety though. It does well for sore muscles, especially in the back and neck. Seems to be good for insomnia if more than few bowls are consumed. Great feeling high, and I can see why this cut got 3rd (tied for 2nd/3rd).
Kosher Kush is said to have originated among a group of Jewish growers in LA, under the moniker "Jew Gold". DNA Genetics then got a cut of it, renaming it into what it is today, Kosher Kush. This is the first time I've had Kosher Kush in OC, and was not disappointed, and the clean high makes me understand why it has been described as a "blessed" feeling.
