CanniCorner: Chemdawg '91 (Unconfirmed Genetics)

AROMA: The scent from the jar/nugs themselves is quite subtle, with a sweet piney aroma. After nugs are ground up an earthy lemon diesel aroma is released. It has a classic Chemdawg aroma to it (kind of smells like feet...but in a good way, if that's possible), but isn't all that pungent to be completely honest. The scent is still extremely pleasant, but the lack of pungency was a tiny bit disheartening.

TASTE: There is a deep lemon octane fuel flavor to this strain that is classic to Chemdawg '91, with an earthy side that becomes extremely apparent in the aftertaste. There is a burn in the nostrils that clears the sinuses, and a pine undertone can be felt long after a hit is exhaled. The flavor is stronger than the aroma suggest, which was a pleasant surprise.

LOOK: Popcorn nug structure with hunter green nugs, the moderately plump calyxes spawn very long, dark beige colored, hairs. The have the classic Chemdawg structure to it, but are a bit leafy. The trichomes, though they are still bulbous and amber, aren't as impressive as with other strains.

EFFECTS: Quick onset high that pulsates in intense sativa heavy waves to the head, with a relaxing, but subtle, body high that results in a pleasant experience. Light pressure at the back of the eyes causes them to open instead of close, with a warming sensation at the back of the head and neck. The high wasn't as intense as other Chemdawg '91 strains I've had, but it was one of the longest lasting. However, the cerebral side to the high culminates into a carefree, slightly euphoric, sensation in the head that becomes relaxing. Good for stress relief, possibly anxiety, and pain relief. Great daytime to midday strain.

"Chemdog is the plant responsible for all 'Diesel' strains known today..." The 91 in the moniker notates the year of its "initial discovery date from bag seed" (Loompa Farms), and is a genuine cut grown by Loompa Farms. Definitely a classic sativa that should be checked out, especially considering its birthplace.
