AROMA: There is a really strong fruity citrus lemon scent to this without any skunk or pine from a nug itself. Once nugs are ground up the fruity lemon scent gets hit with a skunk sensation that becomes very pleasant. It actually has a hint of chocolate when a deep inhale is taken (after nugs are ground up). Even though it's not the most pungent OG there is, it is still a pleasant smelling strain.
TASTE: The flavor of this White Fire OG is similar to the smell, but more pungent. The fruity lemon citrus actually takes a backseat in the flavor, and it is overpowered by skunk and pine (that was missing from the scent). The chocolate like scent turns into a coffee like flavor in the aftertaste, which actually makes it very enjoyable. The smoke is also thick and creamy, so it is full of flavor. There is decent lung expansion, and a soothing burn in the nostrils, which are characteristics of good OG's. Great tasting strain.
LOOK: Tear drop nug structure with light green nugs that have a dense appearance, but are relatively light. The manicure job is done well, and the few stray sugar leaves are absolutely caked in trichomes. The swollen calyxes almost hide the dark orange hairs, as they are barely visible in certain areas. The trichome structure is great, as there are plenty of opaque, cloudy, and capped trichomes stalks. The ash burns into a light gray and white color, indicating a proper flush. It's an attractive strain that is definitely one of the more frosty White Fire OG's we've seen.
EFFECTS: Decently heavy indica with a gradual onset without a lethargic feeling, there is slight pressure at the back of the eyes, and a slight tingling at the back of the head and neck. The effects relax the entire body, down to the soles of the feet, within 10 minutes. The relaxing sensation was accompanied, surprisingly, by a light sativa effect that kicked in after about 20 minutes; causing a carefree and euphoric state of bliss. Great medicinal and "stoney" properties to the strain. Good for pain relief, stress relief (possibly anxiety), and appetite gain. Good midday to nighttime strain.
We've seen White Fire OG from other places, but considering what the genetics are supposed to be (OG x The White) none of them measured up. However, HWC's cut of White Fire OG is, as far as we can tell is legit as it has characteristics of both strains. (OG nug structure and scent, with the insane trichomes of The White). All in all it is a great strain regardless of what its genetics are, and HWC delivered with this one.
