Indica
Price: $40 for 5 grams
AROMA: The smell of this Hash Plant is a lot better than the appearance gives it credit for, as there is a deep hash-like Afghani scent coupled with a subtle skunk essence (I'm assuming from the NL#1). There is also a tangy twist to the scent that makes you go back for another whiff. Once nugs are ground up the skunk essence becomes released more, and the smell becomes a nice balance between the skunk and hash-like smells. It's a pretty good smelling strain considering the price, and appearance.
TASTE: The taste of the strain is a lot like the smell, with it tasting very skunky in the initial blast of flavor. Once the skunk invades the taste buds it slowly dissipates into that skunk essence that lingers on the tongue and in the sinuses. The flavor of this strain surprised me, as it is actually more pungent in its flavor than its aroma. The balance between the hash and skunk is solid, and the flavor stays good throughout the entire process of a hit.
LOOK: The look...oh the look. It's definitely deceiving, so hear me out here. The nugs are somewhat compressed, a bit leafy, and the hairs has been pressed against them. It also has a dark green hue, and lack of outside trichomes. I'm unsure of whether or not this was the Greenhouse Hash Plant, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was. HOWEVER, having said all of that, once you break open a nug and look at the "guts" with a Kindscope, it's a whole different story. There is an abundance of capped trich stalks that are almost entirely amber, and absolutely cake the inner linings of the nugs. Don't let the look fool you, this strain is more potent than it appears.
EFFECTS: This Hash Plant has a gradual onset high that takes more than a few minutes to kick in, and about 10 minutes to fully kick in. It puts light pressure at the back of the eyes, and leaves the mind feeling carefree. The body high starts at the back of the neck and slowly spreads to the rest of the body, and once the high fully kicks in it leaves one feeling completely relaxed. There's "couch-lock" and then there are strains that make you feel like puddy....this one is the latter. The only negative thing I can say about the effects is that they did not last long, but my tolerance is also very high. I was impressed with how medicated I got in the first place, so that says something. Good for pain relief, stress relief, and sleep aid (possibly appetite gain). Great midday to nighttime strain.
In all honesty, I was not expecting much out of this Hash Plant, because I'm not the biggest fan of outdoor/greenhouse strains. I reviewed it because it was recommended, and, well, it's Hash Plant! I'm glad I did, because this batch opened my eyes back up to how potent outdoor/greenhouse meds can be. Its potency, smell, and taste outweighed it's not-so-great appearance by far.
