CanniCorner: Durban Poison (100% South African Sativa)

Appearance: The durban has a breath taking appearance, it is leafy, with some saliva influence in this particular phenotype, but super heavy trichome development over every crevice of these "narrow'er" looking buds. Typical of sativa influence. The hairs are clustered, and the buds are very light green, with an almost pinkish tint to some patches and hairs. These buds look almost as sweet as they taste, though you can see large dark green fan leaves clinging to the sides of the bud, reminiscent of other saliva dominant strains such as jack hearer or J1. These little leaves look almost like floppy bunny ears, but are characteristic of certain strains and give hints to its influence. The buds have a slender shape and gentle aroma, which brings me to my next point.

Aroma: This bud has the fruitiest, sweetest, sugary smell. A variety of smells emanate from this bud, with a slight funk coming from somewhere inside of this bud. Although there is a brief smell which borders on skunky, it is only when you pinch the buds will you procure this smell. It is a sharp tingling odor, but fruity with a bit of pez or possibly flinstones vitamins. Pinch it again, and then suddenly smells like Sour candy, some smell that reminds you of a forbidden fruit from the jungles of africa, where this Sativa originates. Dynamic odors, with incredible range, whatever smell you may identify as emanating from this particular strain, it is delicious.

Smoke: Smooth. Some of the smoothest. The smoke is tasty and has some of that great punch to the face knockout potency. Durban Poison gives great feedback upon inhalation, and continues until long after exhaling. It is a lingering smoke that leaves a pleasant taste in the mouth, and continues to be as light and fluffy, as it smelled initially. The high is euphoric, but still leaves me wishing that it lasted longer. The initial intense "punch" rolls out into a longer lasting high. It is really fun to smoke, and a great pick me up after a long indica session. This strain is great for relieving depression, but may cause mild anxiety in some users do to its slightly stimulating nature. It is fairly creative, but more mellowing. It's great for surfing the internet, playing a video game, or riding a bike. Not as effective for pain relief.

Conclusion: This is a great strain, especially for its flavor. Like most tasty sativa's, this one goes fast. It's high is nowhere near as ripping or intense as initially described to me, but none-the-less this flavor should be revered and respected for its intense banana-strawberry, and grape flavors, which are incredible. This is a truly tropical tasting, and exotic strain. A unique strain not to be overlooked when choosing medicine.
