AROMA: The scent of this batch of LA Con isn't as pungent as others I've come across. There is only a hint of Afghani in the scent, and in general is lacking overall. It still has a nice smell to it, but definitely doesn't hit you like LA Confidential should.
TASTE: The taste is actually a lot better than the aroma hints it to be. It has a classic LA Confidential flavor to it, as the Afghani is apparent on the tongue and in the sinuses with a piney skunk twist.
LOOK: Big dense nugs that are caked in trichomes, and most of the trichomes are cloudy. The calyxes aren't as plump as other batches of LA Confidentail I've seen, but it doesn't take away from this one. The nugs are manicured relatively well, so it gives it a uniformed look.
EFFECTS: The high of this particular batch of LA Confidential isn't as strong as others I've had. It doesn't have as intense of a body high, nor pain relief, as I'm used to. I'm not talking down on the strain, but in general LA Confidential is usually good for pain relief. This is still a relaxing high with a gradual onset (a "creeper"), and seems to be good for stress relief. Definitely heavy on the eyes, so for sure it is a night time strain.
Another strain from CannaGrove. The smell, or lack of that is, of the LA Confidential is a little deceiving, so don't pass it up based solely on that. It's a creeper, so give it some time to hit before passing judgement.
