Sativa Dominant Hybrid

AROMA: There is a deep lemon diesel fuel smell to this batch that is relatively pungent. The scent is apparent both before and after being ground up, and the nugs seem to be relatively fresh. It's a great smelling batch for sure.
TASTE: The strain doesn't smoke as well as I thought, but the flavor is still very strong. Great lung expansion that causes a slight tickle at the back of the throat that causes a few throat clearing coughs. It's actually quite refreshing upon exhale. Deep lemon diesel fuel taste that leaves a soothing burn in the sinuses, the aftertaste on the tongue is fantastic. Great smelling Sour D out of GSPA.
LOOK: Classic Sour Diesel nug structure, which was mostly apparent since the bottom of the jar was filled with tiny gravel-like nugs, a quite unfortunate characterstic of this strain. Anyone who knows Sour D knows that it isn't the most photogenic strain, but this particular batch is attractive. The trichomes are so opaque that it gives the nugs an almost amber look. All in all this is a great looking Sour Diesel.
EFFECTS: Great mind-clearing sativa that puts pressure on the eyes and around the head, it actually gives a boost of energy. It has a quick onset that revs up to a relatively intense level which only lasts a short while. The high then dips down to a relaxing level with a slight euphoric twist. This feels like a mainly sativa dom, since there are very little indica effects (back is still tense and sore). Good for stress relief, and for slight anxiety. Great daytime strain for everyone.
The genetics of Sour Diesel are unconfirmed... I'm sure there are old school growers out there that know what's up, but I'm not one of them. It's thought to be Original Diesel (ChemDawg ’91 x [Massachusetts Super Skunk x Sensi Seeds Northern Lights] x DNL (Northern Lights/Shiva x Hawaiian). Yea...I'm just going to stick to "unconfirmed". Either way this is a good batch of Sour D, not the greatest I've seen, but still a great sativa.
