Appearance: The nugs are fairly light green with darker patches surrounding. The trichomes on this batch are truly spectacular. The pistils are long and stringy, with a very light orange or yellowish hue to them. The bud has few leaves, and giant oozing resinous calyxes. Yum!
Smell: The Dutch Treat's true "treat" is it's smell and flavor profile. This bud smells amazing, slightly sugary like candy, but also a very buttery pungent odor that permeates from this particular flowers. The smell is definitely a "funk", but it is by no means a kushy odor. In fact, I would say that there is hardly any kush genetics in this bud at all. The diesel smell is only represented by a slightly sour citrus odor which only speaks in small traces. The smell is that of an old school Dutch strain bred for flavor and long lasting smokes from Amsterdam and Rotterdam coffee shops. The smell is simply great.
Flavor/Smoke: This bud is DELICIOUS. Every toke fulfills the distinct desires of my time-tested palate. This bud is truly special. It's a very nice and refreshing flavor, and I can't taste the Diesel at all. The smoke is smooth, but it packs a wallop due to Sour D. Medium to high lung expansion.
Effects: I picked up this particular batch based upon it's SC Labs testing which showed it having a very high CBN content. This unique cannabinoid profile gives it a very interesting medicating effect. It seems to provide a strong body high while also having a very strong cerebral effect. The stone sits on your head, reverberating for a very, very long time, at which point you are lulled into very fast-acting and long-lasting snooze. This bud is very potent, and I would not recommend it for beginners. It can be very intense and prolonged at times, but with that being said the high is euphoric. This seems like it would be a great bud to smoke before going for a walk through the woods followed by a nap. The stone is not heavy or tiring, and is actually uplifting at first. It has a sort of "rush", however, it is not discombobulating. This high is great, and is very fun and smooth. However, look out for the Diesel kick, because it comes out strong. I'd say it's some of the best meds I've tested in about a month or two.
Conclusion: The strain is superb with excellent genetics. This batch isn't perfect, so I couldn't give it an A+. It's still as good as it gets around these parts.
