Sativa Dominant Hybrid
AROMA: This has a VERY interesting scent to it, as it smells a lot like Cheese (the strain) from the jar and container. After nugs are ground up it has a very subtle citrus/pineapple scent with a subtle lemon diesel undertone. If it didn't smell this way after being broken up I wouldn't believe that this was anything other than Cheese.
TASTE: Before I start on the taste I have to admit that I absolutely love Cinderella 99 (since good batches are nowhere to be found these days). Having said that, the flavor of this strain is ridiculously good. It loses the Cheese like essence in the flavor, as it's replaced with a sweet lemon diesel flavor. It has good lung expansion that causes a couple of chest clearing coughs, but nothing more. I love the taste of this strain... I rarely use that word, but for someone who has been looking for a good Cindy 99, I'm using it.
LOOK: Dense nugs with popcorn structure, the copper colored hairs accent the ridiculous amounts of trichomes. The trichs on this batch are mostly opaque, skinny stalks though but with a good number of caps. I will admit that at first glance it isn't the most attractive strain, but the smell will draw you to it.
EFFECTS: This is a nicely balanced hybrid that is actually really heavy. I was surprised that a $40 capped strain would have this effect on me, because it's been awhile since one has. It's got a heavy body high, and a very cerebral sativa kick. It puts pressure around the head, a lot like headband, but makes the eyes heavy. It's definitely not a wake and bake strain, so don't let the sativa dom label fool you. The only downside is the high fluctuates, with its peaks and valleys, and doesn't last as long as I'd like. Still great for a $40 cap though. Great for stress relief, possibly anxiety (gradual onset), and relaxation. Great midday strain.
Locals Choice is brand new (check out their review in the Orange County section), and they came out swinging for the fences. This Cin x OG is the first $40 capped strain to make it in the A range, so this is saying something. I might be partial because of its genetics, but either way it's a great OG cross. Anyone looking for a heavy hybrid should check this out.
