AROMA: There is a deep ground coffee smell along with the classic OG lemon diesel fuel scent. It has a very distinct tangy twist that stings the sinuses upon a deep inhale. There is also that classic earthy kush essence. It's a great smelling strain, especially for anyone that like the deep coffee scent.
TASTE: This strain smokes really well which leaves a very robust flavor on the tongue. The flavor has a very deep lemon diesel flavor to it, and the earthiness can be "tasted" in the nostrils. The coffee-like essence becomes apparent in the aftertaste, which reminds me of taking a sip of fresh ground, quality, coffee (not that instant stuff). I really like the flavor of this OG, but I am partial to OG's that taste like these.
LOOK: Great foxtail nug structure with light green nugs, the darker shaded leaves make the copper colored hairs stand out. The trichomes are also very attractive, and cake almost the entire nug. In fact, the trichomes are so abundant that it makes some of the hairs look peach colored at some angles. The manicure job could have been done a bit better, but nothing to complain about.
EFFECTS: There are heavy indica effects with a nice sativa twist. The cerebral side of this high is very pleasant, and put me in a good mood. There is slight pressure at the back of the eyes that causes the eyelids to get heavy. This is is a heavy indica dominant OG with great medicinal properties (surprising). Great for pain relief, stress relief, and sleep aid. The intensity of the high isn't great for anxiety, especially for those with lower tolerances. Great nighttime strain.
The genetics of this particular OG cut were not divulged to me, but in all honesty I really don't care this time. It's a great OG cut, and hit close to my preference because of its particular taste. The effects are also heavy, as usual, with great medicinal properties. A lot of other places have OG's that are really stoney, but not great for medicinal purposes. GSPA delivers yet another strain that are heavy on both sides.
