Indica Dominant Hybrid
Price: $45 per 1/8th
AROMA: There is a very sweet scent to this that really smells like grapes. There's a slight hint of pine in the scent that has a twist of earthiness. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a kush somewhere in the genetics because of this side to the smell. It's a GREAT smelling strain that reminds me of Welch's grape juice, but surprisingly there's not much "purp" smell.
TASTE: Extremely creamy smoke that gives the sweetness a very full flavor. The earthy pine becomes very apparent in the taste, and especially in the nostrils. I'm even more convinced there's a kush in here because of the classic kush burn in the nostrils. It also overpowers the sweetness too. Decent lung expansion too, but not enough to cause any coughing. Great tasting strain for anyone looking for a smooth smoked indica that doesn't put the lungs through the ringer.
LOOK: This batch of Grizzly Grape looks like 2010 with purple streaking out of the calyxes. There isn't that much purple in the strain, at least for something with Grape in its name, but It is absolutely gorgeous caked with opaque trichomes with bulbous caps. It looks like someone dipped the nugs in salt. The hunter green nugs are caked so much that they appear light green or white. The dark orange hairs only make the nugs look even more frosty. It's gorgeous...plain and simple.
EFFECTS: This is a creeper, as the effects took a good 10 minutes to peak. It hits right away with a mellow body high coupled with a minor cerebral kick. As the minutes pass the high intensifies in the body, putting it into a semi-comatose state, and turns the cerebral kick into a heavy sided one. The body high isn't one with a lot pulsating sensations, but one of a general relaxed feel. The cerebral kick is a great stress reliever. Great for stress relief, anxiety, sleep aid (in large doses), and relaxation. Great midday to nighttime strain.
This is one of Grizzly Genetics staple strains, and the genetics are a mystery. The crazy thing about Grizzly & GSPA strains is that the full flavor of them is ridiculous. If I had to guess, I would say the genetics could be 2010 x Grape Ape. The earthiness and streaks of purple in the calyxes remind me of Grape Ape, and the trichomes look like 2010. Either way, this batch is ridiculously good, and am glad I got nugs from this one for the review.
