AROMA: There is an extremely strong Jack Herer smell to this with a hint of apple. It's a pungent strain, especially after being ground up, with a very fruity/sweet smell. It's a great smelling strain, and very good for it's $40 cap ($70 1/4 cap).
TASTE: The taste is very similar to Jack Herer, but has a much more piney flavor than the scent suggests. There is a soothing burn in the nostrils that is definitely not too strong. The smoke is thick and creamy, so there is full flavor from start to finish. Great tasting strain.
LOOK: Foxtail nug structure of light green nugs, the long bright orange hairs accentuate the nugs. The trichomes are ridiculously opaque, and cake almost every of every nug. The structure of the trichs are also impressive, as they are extremely bulbous with big caps. Definitely a very attractive batch of XJ-13, and a great looking $40 cap strain.
EFFECTS: Great head clearing sativa high with just enough indica to put the body into a relaxed state. There is light pressure on the eyes, and a very cerebral side to the high. This is a potent sativa that is great for stress relief, and possibly even for anxiety. The mellow side to this high has a great euphoric feeling, and the slight indica touch keeps the body feeling good. Great daytime to midday strain.
This XJ-13 from CannaGrove is a very good batch, and I'm not just saying that because of the price. I've had a batch of $60 per 1/8th XJ-13 from a different collective that doesn't even compare to CannaGrove's. Anyone looking for a potent sativa should definitely check this out. A $40 1/8th and $70 1/4 cap is ridiculous for this quality, so don't miss it.
