CanniCorner: Kosher OG (Kosher Kush x OG Kush)

AROMA: This has a classic OG Kush scent to it, but leans a little more on a fruity lemon side instead of lemon diesel one. Once nugs are ground up the lemon becomes much more zesty, and almost stings the sinuses after a deep inhale. There is also a slight earthy pine to it, but only comes out nugs are ground up. It smells very similar to the Kosher Kush that was previously reviewed, and is one of the characteristics that drew me to it.

TASTE: The thick and creamy smoke gives a fully lemon zest flavor from the very beginning to the aftertaste of the hit. There is a slight earthy pine accent to the aftertaste too that is much more apparent in the flavor than in the aroma. It truly is a great tasting OG, because the flavor is still extremely apparent even if you're not smoking "greens". The aftertaste remains on the tongue long after a hit is exhaled, and is actually quite pleasant. I'm going to say it again; great tasting OG.

LOOK: Popcorn shaped light green nugs, darker shaded leaves, with a fair amount of copper colored hairs; this strain's most attractive aspect are the trichomes. They shimmer in certain angles of light, and under a Kindscope there is an abundance of bulbous caps. There are a few strays leaves here and there, but definitely not an issue. It's a good looking OG.

EFFECTS: Gradual onset high that becomes increasingly intense for a relatively long time, it is a heavy indica with a slight cerebral sensation. The cerebral kick puts slight pressure around the head, light pressure at the back of the eyes, but decent pressure at the back of the head and neck. The body becomes relaxed into a couch-lock effect, and the mind becomes clear. There's a carefree feeling to this strain along with it. Good for pain relief, stress relief, appetite gain, and sleep aid. Great nighttime strain.

It was interesting to see Kosher OG, especially after reviewing Kosher Kush not too long ago, and a treat to try. Another great cross coming out of GSPA, and produced from a well grown plant. One of the better aspects of the strain is the carefree feeling, and long lasting effects. Definitely a strain to check out.
