AROMA: The scent to this strain is great, with an extremely sweet citrus & skunk essence that fills the sinuses almost instantly. From the nug the smell is pungent, but after a nug is ground up the sweet aroma becomes even more prevalent. The citrus side to the scent gets even stronger, and it smells like a freshly picked orange. Fantastic smelling sativa coming out of GSPA.
TASTE: The thick smoke fills the mouth with instant, yet subtle, sweet citrus flavor, but the skunk essence takes a backseat until the aftertaste. Once the skunk in the aftertaste settles on the tongue it stays there for quite some time, and even expands into the sinuses. There is also an earthiness to the flavor that is missing from the scent, which gives it a unique twist.
LOOK: Porpcorn nug structure with light green nugs, the bright orange hairs stick around the calyxes and look almost trapped by the trichomes. The trichome structure is absolutely amazing, with an abundance of trichs everywhere. The long stalks are capped with extremely bulbous heads, and almost every trichome has a cap on it. The trichs also give the nugs an extremely frosty look, and causes them to shimmer at certain angles of light. It's an amazing looking strain, and grown amazingly well.
EFFECTS: Gradual onset sativa high that leaves one feeling extremely euphoric and relaxed, the light pressure on at the back of the eyes gives them a pleasant feeling. There is a slight tingling at the back of the head and neck, and a bit of warmth in the chest. The euphoric kick is one of the best aspects of the high, and is a great stress reliever. Symphony comes from the greek work symphonia, which is "agreement or concourd of sound". This strain truly creates a symphony in the mind. Good for stress relief, possibly anxiety, and relaxation. Great daytime strain.
True Symphony is another potent sativa coming out of GSPA, but you may not know the story behind it. The name "True Symphony" comes from a former patient of theirs. This patient always wanted to name a strain "True Symphony", and knowing that GSPA can breed strains, gave them seeds and requested their help. Unfortunately, the patient passed away before their dream could be fulfilled, so in honor of that patient...GSPA created and named this strain True Symphony.
In a subculture where breeders pride themselves on their creations and namesakes...a lot has to be put aside for something like this to be done. Amazing meds aside, GSPA helped keep the memory of their patient alive by naming this strain. I hope True Symphony is a strain we get to see time and time again.
