AROMA: There is a sweet aroma, from the Blueberry, coupled with a fruity citrus skunk, from the White Widow, that is surprisingly pungent from the nugs themselves. Once nugs are ground up the citrus skunk becomes exponentially more pungent, and the sweetness takes a backseat in scent. It is a GREAT smelling strain, especially for any patients that enjoy a sweet fruity aroma.
TASTE: The flavor of this strain was unexpected, as it leaned almost entirely towards the sweet Blueberry sensation at first. It then takes a sharp turn towards a citrus skunky pine that overpowers the aftertaste. There is a slight burn in the sinuses after exhaling a hit that has a sweet citrus skunk sensation that lingers. The thick smoke ensures a flavorful hit every time, and burns into a lily white ash (indicating a proper flush). Great tasting strain and a combination of two powerhouse classics.
LOOK: Light green nugs with a popcorn structure, the swollen calyxes release long, almost angry-looking, bright orange hairs. The trichomes on this strain are its most attractive characteristic, as they give the nugs an extremely frosty look. Under a microscope the trichs are all, and I mean all, cloudy with meatball-like caps, and cover almost every square millimeter of the nugs. There are a few stray sugar leaves here and there, but nothing to complain about; especially since they are also caked in trichs.
EFFECTS: There is a quick onset high with this strain at first, but takes about 10 minutes to fully kick in. Once the high does fully kick in, the effects take hold of the brain with a cerebral sensation, and slight tingling at the back of the head. There is also heavy pressure at the back of the eyes, and a relatively heavy glaze over them. There is also a euphoric side to the high that puts a smile on the face. The small amount of indica from the White Widow does just enough to relax the body. Good for stress relief, possibly anxiety, mild pain relief, and appetite gain. Great daytime to midday strain.
Blueberry and White Widow are both strains that almost every single smoker has heard of, and many of whom have tried. Combining them into this Blue Venom delivered a powerhouse strain with a ridiculously potent sativa kick, and just enough indica to relax the muscles. It was definitely a treat to try, and should be a staple strain for collectives.
