Sativa
Loompa Farms
Ricochet Gallery Collective
Price: $35 per 1/8th
AROMA: Considering the fact that this is an outdoor strain, the aroma of it is actually quite pleasant. It isn't the most pungent strain there is, but there is definitely a slight lemon zest scent with pine undertones. The most surprising aspect is the fact that the typical "outdoor" smell is missing, so only the subtle sour OG-like essence remains. Surprisingly pleasant considering it is outdoor.
TASTE: Heavy lemon zest flavor with the pine undertone becoming much more apparent, the flavor of this outdoor strain completely surprised me. The thick smoke invades the taste buds with full flavor from start to finish, and there is even the signature OG Kush burn in the sinuses (something missing from most outdoor grown strains). There is also a bit of gritty earthiness to it, and a slight "outdoor" flavor. The outdoor flavor is only apparent after the first hit of a bowl, but "greens" have a hefty lemon pine zest essence.
LOOK: The look of this strain is its worst characteristic, as it is leafy, has weak calyxes, and pale hairs. However, upon closer inspection with a microscope, an insane amount of trichomes can be seen. Long stalks capped by opaque and amber heads that are everywhere. A closer look is definitely needed to see the best parts of the nugs.
EFFECTS: Outdoor has always had a bad reputation, but this Godfather Part II is a potent medication especially for the price. The sativa effects are relatively heavy and have a quick onset putting pressure at the top of the eyes. It is much more potent than the initial look suggests, and a great deal at the price. Good for stress relief, minor pain relief, and appetite gain. Good daytime strain.
Great example of a well done outdoor strain with incredible trichome structure, and it is definitely potent in its own right. It was a treat to be able to try this, especially since it was grown by Loompa himself.
