Indica Dominant Hybrid
AROMA: The aroma of this strain is unique with a sour citrus lemon tang, and a hefty pine undertone. It has an OG reminiscent scent to it with a unique twist that is mostly from the hefty pine side. The aroma truly is unique and is pungent from the nugs, but becomes exponentially amplified once nugs are ground up. Once nugs are ground up the unique side of the smell overpowers the OG like scent, which only intrigues the senses.
TASTE: The hefty pine in the aroma becomes the most apparent aspect of the flavor at first with the sour citrus lemon tang becoming stronger in the aftertaste. The earthiness has that classic, gritty kush flavor to it. The smoke is thick and creamy, so there is full flavor from start to finish. The best part of the flavor is definitely the aftertaste, as it leaves a sour lemon essence on both the taste buds and in the sinuses. The soothing kush burn in the nostrils accentuates the lingering lemon scent.
LOOK: The look of this strain is definitely its least appealing characteristic, as the nugs are very leafy. The amount of leaves almost kept me from getting any in the first place, but was told that it is still a potent med. Aside from the abundance of sugar leaves, the calyxes are still plump and swollen, and the bright orange pistils are long and thick. The trichomes are very attractive, as they cake the calyxes and sugar leaves, and are almost all capped; giving it a shimmering look in certain angles of light. It isn't the best looking strain there is, but is still a potent medication.
EFFECTS: Relatively quick onset high with an intense indica effect, it puts the body into couch lock within a few minutes. There is warmth and tingling at the back of the neck, and in the shoulders, and a euphoric cerebral buzz. The rest of the high concentrates solely on the body leaving it extremely relaxed, without becoming too intense. My sore shoulders and back pain were completely relieved within about 10 minutes. It has great medicinal properties, and a nice relaxing "stoney" side to it as well. Great for pain relief, relaxation, and stress relief. Good midday to nighttime strain.
Goji OG, I believe, is originally by Bodhi Seeds, and was named after the Himalayan goji berry. A mixture of Nepali OG (Nepali Kush x OG Kush) and Snowlotus (Afghooey x Block Head [Unknown Strain x Sweet Tooth]), Bodhi Seed delivered a powerhouse OG strain. GSPA put a well grown and flushed (light gray/white ash) example on their shelves. It may not have the best look, but the potency went beyond expectations.
