CanniCorner: King Louie OG (OG Kush x LA Confidential)

AROMA: Hefty lemon diesel scent from the nugs with a hint of pine, it has a classic King Louie sour lemon aroma to it. From the nugs it has an extremely sour essence to it, and after nugs are ground up the sweet side of the citrus becomes apparent. The pungency level actually goes down after nugs are ground up, but that might be because of how sour the nugs smell. All in all it is a good smelling strain, and a King Louie OG cut.

TASTE: The flavor of the strain has a much heavier lemon diesel side to it than the aroma suggests that actually disguises the pine side. The thick smoke puts full flavor on the taste buds right away, and leaves a nice sweet citrus aftertaste. There is a decent amount of lung expansion, so a few chest clearing coughs occurred. It isn't the most flavorful OG there is, but considering it isn't in the private reserve range it tastes great.

LOOK: Foxtail nug structure with light green nugs, and dark orange hairs. The calyxes are so swollen that the pistils are hard to see in certain areas. The manicure job was definitely lazy, as there is a good amount of stray sugar leaves that could have been clipped. The trichomes are mostly cloudy, and have extremely bulbous heads; giving the nugs a frosty look. It's a good looking strain, but the manicure job definitely takes away from it though.

EFFECTS: Relatively quick onset with a decently heavy indica effect that relaxes the body almost immediately. There is light pressure at the top of the eyes, but little cerebral effects other than tingling at the back of the head. Warmth generates from the chest, and the relaxing body high overtakes the entire body. It has a couch lock effect without a lethargic side, which allows one to get up & go or simply "melt" into the couch. Good for pain relief, stress relief, appetite gain, and sleep aid. Good midday to nighttime strain.

King Louie OG is potent OG cut made from OG Kush and LA Confidential, both classic California MMJ strains. Herbalife's King Louie OG is on their $45 shelf, but the price is not indicative of the quality (especially since it's only $35 for Blackcard Members). It, in fact, exceeded my expectations, but that could have been to the relatively leafy appearance. Regardless it is a potent cut of King Louie OG, and a great deal.
