AROMA: There is an earthy lemon diesel scent to this strain that is smells like every other Liquid Butter OG I've had before (no doubt in my mind that this is the right strain). There is also a bit of a sour twist to the scent, and this is entirely from the nug itself. Once a nug is ground up, surprisingly, the sour smell disappears and is replaced with an entirely earthy lemon diesel scent. It's a great smelling Liquid Butter OG that is relatively pungent.
TASTE: The flavor of this Liquid Butter OG is fantastic with a deep earthy lemon diesel flavor accompanied by a slightly sour twist. The creamy smoke actually tastes a little like cannabis butter on the tongue, with a smooth and flavorful sensation. There is a good amount of lung expansion and throat contraction to the strain, but not enough to cause more than a few chest clearing coughs. It's a great tasting Liquid Butter OG, and one that should be checked out for the price its at.
LOOK: Popcorn nug structure with relatively dense nugs (not too dense though), the lime green color is accentuated by the dark orange hairs. The trichomes cover the majority of the nugs, but the opaque/amber coloring keeps it from having an overly frosty look. Under a Kindscope the trichomes look absolutely gorgeous, and were the reason I grabbed the strain. In all honesty it isn't the most attractive strain at first, so it definitely takes a closer look.
EFFECTS: Heavy indica effects that have a gradual onset, right off the bat I can say that this strain may be good for anxiety. It gradually puts one into a very relaxed state that has a subtle cerebral kick. It does a good job with pain relief and muscle relaxation, but shouldn't be the focus of the strain. It also caused a good amount of appetite gain, and does well for sleep aid. Good for stress relief (possibly anxiety), mild pain relief, appetite gain, and sleep aid. Great nighttime strain.
I deliberately chose not to review Liquid Butter OG for a long time because of the inconsistency of the strain going around. After trying the Flying Dutchman and AfPak from APG, I decided to give their Liquid Butter OG a go. I am glad that I did, because it is, as far as I can tell, definitely Liquid Butter OG, and a good one at that.
