CanniCorner: Permanent Sleep (Unknown Genetics)

AROMA: There is a lemon diesel scent to this strain with a pine undertone to it that is smells like a potent OG strain. There is also a hint of ground coffee in the scent after nugs are ground up, with the lemon diesel becoming more pungent. There is no strain on record (anywhere) called Permanent Sleep, so if I'd have to guess, based off the aroma alone, I'd say that this is a good cut of OG.

TASTE: The flavor is much like the smell with a strong lemon diesel taste, while the pine becomes much more apparent. There is a good amount of lung expansion, so there are more than a few chest clearing coughs. There is also the classic kush burn in the sinuses, which leads me to believe, even more, that this is an OG. The aroma is more enticing than the flavor though.

LOOK: Popcorn nug structure with hunter green nugs, the dark orange hairs give the nugs an almost "angry" look, with the trichomes caked all over them. Almost all of the trichomes are cloudy and opaque, and a good amount are amber. There are stray sugar leaves here and there that hide some of the trichs, so a closer inspection is definitely necessary with this strain. At first glance this isn't the best looking strain there is, but a closer look reveals its best characteristic.

EFFECTS: Moderately timed onset with heavy indica effects, it puts the body into a couch-lock, yet relaxed, state. There is light pressure at the back of the eyes with a light glaze over them, and a slight cerebral and carefree effect. It is a potent strain that has good medicinal qualities, as it did well for pain relief, without any lethargic feelings. The cerebral side does well for stress relief and relaxation. Good for pain relief, stress relief, relaxation, and sleep aid. Good midday to nighttime strain.

I'm going to say it, Permanent Sleep is a weird name. It really is not that appealing and I passed up this strain twice because I wasn't convinced on the name and unknown genetics. It wasn't until the third time at HWC did I pick this up, and I'm kicking myself over it now. It has an odd name, but nonetheless it is still a potent strain with good medicinal qualities.
