CanniCorner: Rastafari OG (Mystery Genetics)

AROMA: There is a very strong pinesol-esque, lemon diesel OG scent to it with a slightly sweet undertone to the pine-like essence. The aroma is strong from the nugs themselves, and give off a pungent scent when squeezed. After being ground up the sweetness mellows out with the pine becoming much stronger. The strain is 100% organic, so the pungency of the aroma was quite surprising.

TASTE: This has an absolutely genuine OG flavor to it, with the lemon diesel hitting the taste buds right away, and the pine settling in the sinuses and aftertaste. It has that "ocean breeze" like flavor to the smoke, and has decent lung expansion. The smoke is thick, but still flavorful. The only thing missing with this would be the "burn" in the sinuses, which is very faint, or not there at all. Regardless of the missing "burn", the flavor is fantastic, and a great tasting OG.

LOOK: Light green nugs with foxtail structure, the calyxes are extremely swollen which hide the dark copper pistils. The most attractive aspect of the strain is definitely the trichome structure, and the abundance of them. Every single trichome is cloudy, and the bulbous caps almost hide the stalks. There are so many trichs per square millimeter that it is hard to see plant matter under certain patches of trichs. It's an attractive strain both to the naked eye, and under a microscope. Definitely one that shines in most angles of light, and an eye catcher.

EFFECTS: Slight warming sensation in the chest generates almost immediately, with the tension in my shoulds being released immediately. Within minutes the high overtakes the body and puts it into a semi-comatose state of complete relaxation. It is a heavy indica that can definitely induce a nap. There is a slight cerebral kick, but only one enough to keep you awake if you wanted to. It is a heavy and extremely stoney strain that has great medicinal qualities. It's one of those "whoah..." strains for sure. Good for pain relief, stress relief, relaxation, and sleep aid. Great midday to nighttime strain.

Rastafari OG, though it has mystery genetics, is definitely a potent OG cut. The best part is the fact that it is organic, so it kept the natural flavor and aroma intact. It is definitely a potent cut that has great medicinal and stoney effects, and is up there with other GSPA's OG's.
