CanniCorner: Sour Chemdog (Sour Diesel x Chemdog)

AROMA: For all intents and purposes this strain smells exactly like its crosses: A sour Chemdog scent. It has a sweet piney skunk from the Sour Diesel, and that "old man's feet" funk from the Chemdog. From the nugs themselves the aroma is a bit muted, but once nugs are ground up the scent becomes ridiculously pungent. The sweet skunk from the Sour Diesel becomes much more apparent, giving off a funky skunk lemon pine. Great smelling strain that truly smells exactly like a combination of both crosses.

TASTE: The flavor is similar to the aroma, with the Sour Diesel being the most apparent aspect of it. A piney skunk flavor hits the taste buds immediately, with a lemon diesel becoming apparent in the aftertaste. There is a good amount of lung expansion with this strain, so there will be more than few chest clearing coughs. The smoke is also very thick and creamy giving full flavor from start to finish. Great tasting strain.

LOOK: I will admit that the look of this strain is the least attractive aspect of it, at first glance. The light green nugs, coupled with the long peach colored pistils, are a bit leafy, so it has an almost flat look. However, the trichomes on this strain are absolutely amazing, as the caps on the stalks are some of the most bulbous I've seen. The trichs give the strain a semi frosty look, but the bulbous caps give it a shiny look at certain angles. The strain definitely takes a closer look, since neither Sour Diesel nor Chemdog are the most attractive strains there are.

EFFECTS: Incredibly potent sativa side that feels like the perfect mixture between the two strains. Pressure at the back of the eyes, with a tingling sensation around the head, cause a euphoric cerebral side to become the most prominent aspect. The indica side takes much longer to kick in, but when it does it puts the body into a heavy couch lock. Coupled with the heavy sativa effects, it makes this a well balanced, yet extremely potent, hybrid. Considering its origins, and the fact that it's hybrid, I wonder whether the Chemdog is the Chemdog 4 (Indica cut). Regardless of which Chemdog it is, it is a potent med that is good for pain relief, stress relief, relaxation, appetite gain, and migraines. Great midday to nighttime strain.
