AROMA: There is a slight pine with a heavy ground coffee scent to this strain, and it reminds me a lot of Master Kush. The smell is pungent from the nugs, and interestingly enough after nugs are ground up the smell releases a sweet citrus scent. It still has the pine and coffee scents, but the sweet citrus becomes very apparent. It is a great smelling strain with an interesting pungency to it once nugs are ground up.
TASTE: The flavor of this strain is almost exactly like the scent. It has a ground coffee pine and a slight citrus twist on the back end. The smoke isn't as thick or creamy as other GSPA strains, but there is still full flavor from start to finish. There is a decent amount of lung expansion, but not really enough to cause more than a cough or two. There is also a soothing burn in the sinuses after exhale. Great tasting strain with a classic kush flavor to it.
LOOK: Popcorn nug structure with light green nugs, the look of this strain also reminds me of Master Kush. There are longer leaves at the base of the nugs with swollen calyxes that fail to hide the long, bright orange hairs. This batch of 5 KT Kush has a much better look than the previous batch, as the trichomes cake almost every part of the nugs. It has a ridiculously frosty look, and it also reminds me of 2010. Great looking strain from any angle, and a beautiful batch of 5 KT Kush.
EFFECTS: Quick onset head change with a gradual onset high, the effects of this strain are a heavy indica with a relaxing sensation throughout the entire body. It has more medicinal qualities than "stoney", as my muscles became extremely relaxed and all pain and soreness disappeared completely. There is a slight cerebral kick, but only enough to keep the mind awake. It is definitely a good stress reliever, possibly good for anxiety, good for relaxation, and sleep aid in higher doses. Great midday to nighttime strain.
5 KT Kush is one of Grizzly Genetics signature strains, and is a potent indica with great medicinal qualities. It really is a shame that this type of medication will not be available to all patients, as GSPA will be closing their membership and reverting to a delivery service. One can only hope that they will return to a brick and mortar someday...and someday soon.
