AROMA: From the nug itself the smell is a bit muted, but there is still a sweet cherry-like aroma to it. However, when nugs are ground up, the scent becomes extremely pungent with a mixture of sweet cherry, earthy pine, and hints of spice. It has the classic Cherry Kush cut of Girl Scout Cookies scent to it, and is a pungent one at that. Great smelling GSC, and a great smelling strain altogether.
TASTE: The flavor of this strain is a combination of a sweet cherry flavor and a deep pine "purp" sensation. The ridiculously thick smoke gives full flavor from start to finish and causes quite a bit of lung expansion. The hefty pine leaves an aftertaste in the lungs and sinuses, and the sweet cherry flavor lasts on the taste buds. The flavor definitely surpasses expectations set by the aroma, which is hard considering how pungent it was.
LOOK: Plump light green calyxes in popcorn formation have extremely bright orange hairs peaking through the purple streaked sugar leaves. The nugs are a bit leafy, but they are so caked in trichomes that it's difficult to see them as a bad side. There are also streaks of purple throughout some of the calyxes, and are bright violet once nugs are ground up. The leafiness takes away from the look, but only a little...as the frostiness of the leaves make up for it in a way.
EFFECTS: Gradual onset high that definitely "creeps" up slowly, it has a heavy indica effect that takes hold of the whole body. It plateaus at a pleasant level that leaves the body in an extremely relaxed state. The high doesn't get too intense, so the medicinal qualities of this particular batch of GSC are quite high. There is slight pressure, and a light glaze, over the eyes, and a slight cerebral kick that leaves the mind carefree. Great for stress relief, anxiety, appetite gain, and sleep aid in higher doses. Great midday to nighttime strain.
The origins of Girl Scout Cookies, for those of you that may not know, is up definitely up for debate. The Cherry Pie, Cherry Kush, and the F1 Durban x Floridah OG cut all have roots in the community, so we're not here to discuss which one was first. This particular cut from HWC is a potent indica with a pleasant taste and high. Great medicinal qualities with it, so regardless of whether or not it's "real" GSC...it's a potent medication nonetheless.
