CanniCorner: Liquid Louie OG (Unknown Genetics)

AROMA: The scent is a bit muted from the nugs themselves, with a faint lemon diesel and pine smell. However, once nugs are ground up, a pungent lemon diesel aroma is released couple with a pine skunk undertone. It has a King Louie scent to it with a unique twist that I can't quite put my finger on. It isn't the most pungent OG cut we've come across, but still has a pleasant scent to it.

TASTE: The thick and creamy smoke produces a full lemon pine flavor on the tongue right away, with the skunk becoming apparent in the aftertaste. The lemon pine essence remains in the flavor from the beginning to the end though. There is decent lung expansion, which causes a couple of coughs, and that classic soothing OG kush burn in the sinuses.

LOOK: Tear drop nug structure with light green nugs, the relatively plump calyxes shoot out bright orange hairs. The manicure could have been done a bit better, as there are more than a few stray sugar leaves, but nothing to complain about. The trichomes give the nugs a frosty look, and though they are mostly opaque or even amber, a slightly noticeable (under a microscope) amount of the trichs are missing caps. The ash burnt to a white/light gray color. Regardless of that fact, it is an attractive strain.

EFFECTS: Gradual onset high that puts the body into a relaxed state (did well for back pain too) without any feelings of lethargy. There is pressure at the back of the eyes, with an eventual, takes almost 15 minutes, cerebral twist that puts a smile on the face. There is also a heavy glaze over a the eyes, and get a little bit dry. The effects didn't last as long as I would have liked though. Good for pain relief, stress relief, relaxation, and appetite gain. Good midday to nighttime strain.

This Liquid Louie is another good OG cut coming out of HWC, and has both medicinal and "stoney" qualities to it. It was another recommendation from the BT, so they're four for four on that front. Great to see a new collective coming out with quality top shelf. If I had to guess at the genetics I would say it is Liquid Butter and King Louie crossed, but regardless of what they are it is a potent flower.
