Sativa
Price: $45 per 1/8th
AROMA: There is a very deep pine scent to this coupled with a skunky undertone, so it pretty much smells exactly like its crosses. The piney side definitely overpowers the skunk, especially after nugs are ground up. From the nugs themselves there is a much sweeter skunk tone to it. Great smelling strain both from the nug, and after being ground up that is reminiscent of its crosses.
TASTE: The taste has a nice balance between pine and skunk that produces a unique flavor with its thick and creamy smoke from start to finish. It has decent lung expansion that causes a few chest clearing coughs, and leaves a great aftertaste on both the taste buds and in the sinuses. The flavor is as unique as the cross with a long lasting and pleasant aftertaste.
LOOK: Light green nugs with foxtail structure, the nugs are a bit airy, but nothing out of the ordinary for a sativa. The nugs are absolutely caked in trichomes, and the calyxes are swollen enough to almost hide the bright orange hairs. The most attractive aspect of the strain are definitely the trichomes, as they have long stalks and extremely bulbous caps. The caps are mostly cloudy with amber tints here and there, which denotes a well timed pulled. The airiness of the nugs is a bit off putting, but this strain is definitely one that needs to be checked out.
EFFECTS: Gradual onset high that takes a few minutes to fully kick in with a relatively heavy sativa effect. Heavy pressure on the eyes and a mind clearing cerebral effect take hold of the head that leaves it in a relaxed state. There is a slight indica side that also relaxes the entire body. This is an incredibly stoney weed, as the high makes it very easy to zone out. Definitely a good strain to medicate with after a long day at work, or while watching TV/movie. Good for stress relief (possibly anxiety), mild pain relief, relaxation, and appetite gain. Great midday strain, but probably a bit too heavy for the morning.
This NL #5 x Skunk #1 is, yet again, another potent sativa with great medicinal effects coming off the shelves at GSPA. From the smell to the effects, it has a uniqueness to it that surpasses a lot of other NL #5 crosses out there.
