AROMA: This particular batch of SSH has its classic sweet and fruity scent to it that is relatively pungent from the nugs themselves. After being ground up the aroma becomes exponentially more pungent with the fruity scent becoming even sweeter. After a deep inhale the fruity scent becomes more of a citrus scent, and becomes It is a great smelling strain, considering it is on a $35 cap shelf, and based off the aroma lone I would have had no problem donating $45 instead.
TASTE: The taste of this strain is actually different from the scent, as the sweetness in the flavor takes a back seat and is replaced with a heavy pine. The fruitiness has more of a citrus nature to it that bites the back of the tongue in the aftertaste. There is a soothing burn in the sinuses that leaves a pine after "smell" in the nostrils. The flavor has an almost UK Cheese-like taste to it, which was a surprising twist. Definitely a great tasting Super Silver Haze, even if it loses some of its sweetness in the flavor.
LOOK: Tear drop structure with light green nugs, the bright orange pistils are the most obvious characteristic of this batch. The hairs streak out in almost every direction and fill the crevices of the nugs. The trichomes on this batch are absolutely insane with ridiculously thick stacks and bulbous caps. The amber tint of the trichomes and caps denote a well timed pull and curing. It isn't the most attractive batch of Super Silver Haze you'll see, but it is still attractive. The trichomes are definitely the best looking aspect of the nugs.
EFFECTS: Quick onset head change with a gradual full onset, this is a potent sativa with great medicinal qualities. The high produces both a calming and euphoric effect that leaves you feeling extremely relaxed. There is also a cerebral kick to the high that causes lights to get brighter and colors to be more vibrant. The head buzz is so strong that it extends into the shoulders and chest with a tingling sensation. It is surprisingly strong considering the price, but in reality this just shows GSPA gives back to their patients when they save. Great for stress relief (possibly anxiety), relaxation, mild pain relief, and mild appetite gain. Great daytime to midday strain.
Super Silver Haze is a combination of some of the most dynamic, and well known, powerhouses in the cannabis community. Skunk, Northern Lights, and Haze are strains that everyone has heard of, and almost everyone loves. Super Silver Haze, by itself, is famous in its own rights, and this batch from GSPA is a good example of it...especially for the price.
